To address the needs of the students in the shifting mode of classes, Gov. Alfonso D. Tan College (GADTC) will distribute tablets and provide free monthly load to students and faculty upon its opening of class this September 7.

Months ago, GADTC conducted a Learning Management System Development Survey filled out by students. The survey showed that 10% of the students have no gadgets. The data also showed that even though most of the students have cellular phones and other devices, their problems are with the internet connectivity.

The tablets that will be distributed will be given to regular students from 1st year to 3rd year students given that they are enrolled in at least 15 units.

The unit of the tablets is Huawei Mate Pad T8 installed with Learning Management System (Microsoft Education) that will serve as the channel between the learners and faculty throughout the semester. These units will be supported with 12 GB open data access every month and 3GB for study-apps per day.

In cooperation with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tangub City, WiFi hotspots and connections will also be expanded to ensure a steady internet connection and to ease the learning of the students.
