On the 23rd of March, the Scholarship and Welfare Office of Governor Alfonso D. Tan College had a successful distribution of the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) for 525 continuing grantees of the second semester of A.Y. 2020-2021.

Gemma Salinas, staff of the Scholarship and Welfare Office, clarified in an interview that a total of 590 continuing TES grantees are included in the CHED-Unifast master list.

“The 525 continuing TES grantees received their subsidies yesterday since they achieved the passing GWA”, she said.

Sixty four (64) continuing grantees weren’t able to claim their subsidy due to failure of attaining the passing general weighted average (GWA) set by the College.

Salinas further said the unclaimed grants that was to be given to the said number of TES recipients will be returned to the UniFAST.

The grantees enjoyed the benefits of the grant after following the school and IATF protocols.
