As part of its commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Kalinga sa Kalusugan was conducted through a collaborative medical mission in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tangub City and the City Health Office (CHO). The program commenced with a health awareness session led by CHO Head, Dr. Noriel G. Apao, focusing on preventive healthcare, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices tailored to the priority health needs identified through the Community Needs Assessment (CNA).
The initiative provided essential medical consultations and health screening services for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs), promoting equitable access to quality healthcare for vulnerable sectors of the community. In support of lifelong health education, the TCGC Medical and Dental Clinic, together with the Institute of Health Sciences, conducted an interactive oral health and personal hygiene session for daycare learners, including a demonstration of proper toothbrushing techniques and daily hygiene practices. The program concluded with a nutritious feeding activity that encouraged healthy eating habits among children, contributing to improved nutrition and overall well-being. Through these integrated health interventions, the activity reinforced community resilience, preventive healthcare, and inclusive access to health services, directly advancing the objectives of SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
