As part of its commitment to advancing research, academic excellence, and professional development, the Institute of Criminal Justice Education (ICJE) of Tangub City Global College (TCGC) successfully hosted the 4th National Conference on Criminological Research and Presentation on February 15–16, 2025, with the theme, "Developing the Culture of Research: Gearing to Qualitative Criminological Research." The two-day conference brought together criminology educators, researchers, practitioners, and students from various institutions to exchange knowledge, present innovative research, and discuss emerging issues and best practices in criminology. The event was graced by Atty. Ramil G. Gabao, Chair of the Professional Regulatory Board for Criminology and Chair of the CPD and CSPC Council, whose expertise and insights inspired participants to strengthen research culture and uphold excellence in criminological education and practice.

The conference demonstrated TCGC's commitment to fostering research-driven education and strengthening partnerships that contribute to evidence-based criminal justice policies and practices. By providing a platform for scholarly collaboration, professional learning, and the dissemination of research, the event enhanced the research competencies of participants while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement in criminological studies. This academic initiative was aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by promoting quality higher education and lifelong learning through research, Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by advancing knowledge that supports effective and accountable justice systems, and Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaboration among academic institutions, professional organizations, researchers, and criminal justice practitioners.
