As part of its commitment to promoting informed, resilient, and socially responsible communities, Tangub City Global College (TCGC) hosted an Educational Awareness Campaign on Situation Awareness and Knowledge Management on February 23, 2026, in partnership with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) under the Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC). Held at the Main Building Activity Hall, the campaign gathered Student Recognized Organization (SRO) officers, Supreme Student Council (SSC) officers, and faculty advisers for an interactive learning session focused on strengthening critical thinking, combating misinformation, and promoting responsible digital citizenship. Participants gained valuable insights into recognizing deceptive information, enhancing situational awareness, and contributing to a safer and more informed academic community.

The campaign reflected the institution's commitment to fostering peace, inclusive participation, and collaborative governance through education and civic engagement. By empowering students with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions, encourage constructive dialogue, and build resilience against misinformation, the initiative strengthened partnerships among government agencies, educational institutions, and civil society. This activity was aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education by promoting lifelong learning and information literacy, Sustainable Development Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by supporting peaceful, informed, and resilient communities, and Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaborative efforts between the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Tangub City Global College, and student organizations in advancing community awareness and national development.
