Once a cry of struggles, now tears of success. On August 13, 2025, Tangub City Global College celebrates a tribute to parents, guardians, benefactors, faculty, and staff for the years of different kinds of support to the graduating students, which marks the beginning of the two-day celebration of the 39th Commencement exercises of the institution.
The ceremony commenced with the petition of Mr. Jasper Lloyd Taoto-an, Batch Lux Sarpientiae president, for the grant of hooding of the graduates by their parents and guardians, which was then granted by Dr. Maricelle M. Nueva, the college president of TCGC.
Following the hooding ceremony, Rev. Fr. Daryl O. Rosales administered the Eucharistic Mass, with his lay ministers and altar servers together celebrating with the graduating class, their parents, guardians, benefactors, faculty, and staff of TCGC.
The celebration continued with a series of heartwarming messages from Dr. Ilyn R. Daguman, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Maricelle M. Nueva, the college president; Ruby E. Bacaling, president of Lux Mundi Alumni Association, Inc. (LMAA, Inc.); and Hon. Francisco Chiong Jr., city councilor of Tangub City.
The awarding of certificates and tokens to benefactors of the LMAA, Inc., board passers, faculty, and staff also took place during the event. A message of thanks was delivered by Mr. Jessel L. Zapanta, an LMAA, Inc. scholar, and a spoken poetry tribute for faculty and staff was conveyed by Cherry Jane Rodriguez, officer of the graduating class.
Selected graduating students shared their struggles through a special video presentation. Different problems arose during their college journey: financial, family, and even experiences of discrimination, but despite all challenges, they fought hard to achieve the most awaited diploma. They also emphasized during the interview that every difficulty students face will always have a solution.
A response message from the Batch 2025 graduating class parent representative, Ms. Ethel C. Ramonal, highlighted that parents may not be perfect, but they are always there for the graduating students. She also advised Batch 2025 with five reminders: stay grounded, keep learning, don't be afraid to fail, choose kindness, and honor your parents.
Recognition of parents and guardians was led by the institute deans, giving the moment to the graduating class to give their flowers and tokens of appreciation to their loved ones who supported them throughout their college journey. The event then concluded with the mass singing of the tribute song dedicated to them.
